• Volunteers sought for large-scale project to remove invasive mangrove from Kailua waterways. State of Hawaiʻi Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of Forestry and Wildlife in partnership with Hui o Koʻolaupoku and community partners are working to restore nearly two miles of streams and wetlands surrounding Kailua’s Kawainui Marsh. • Honolulu Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts (MOCA) call for exhibitions: The Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts is accepting proposals for the first series of the 2027 Community Exhibition Program at Honolulu Hale + Kapolei Hale. An invitation for creatives, makers and cultural practitioners to propose art exhibitions that reflect, reshape, and reimagine the communities around us. All mediums encouraged. • 2026 Hawaiʻi Nei Art Exhibition at Wailoa Center (Hilo, Hawaiʻi Island) open to Hawaiʻi Island residents of all ages. The main subject of the work must be a species native to Hawaiʻi Island.
